Next stop was down Island to visit Derrill and Pauline at the Arrowsmith Valley Railway.
Opa was excited to see the old steam engine arrive at the station to take us on a tour of the Valley.
The train was late leaving and we soon learned that there were a number of possible reasons for it (see sign above).
The delay didn’t damper our enthusiasm when we started to see the sights.
Meteors and bear impersonators, what will be next?
We continued our tour and saw much of the town till we arrived at our accommodations for the night.
We had a lovely cottage on the outskirts of town with the river running behind it.
But the best part was the water tower to soak in, well at least for Opa, at the end of the day.
